Cancer is a disease characterized by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. The spread of these cells in the body can be fatal. The book addresses the causes of cancer, specific cancers common in teens, what to expect from treatment, paying for care, and how to help yourself, friends, or family members who may have cancer. Lists of suggested reading and resources guide readers' further research. This accessible book is the ideal one-stop guide for those living with cancer, whether in themselves or a loved one.
